I am running windows XP Pro on a latitude c610 which has a s-video output on it. I can attach a s-video cable and use a second monitor by going into the control panel and selecting display/settings and then turning on the monitor #2 with the "extend windows desktop onto this monitor" checkbox.

Everything works fine until I close the lid of my laptop. Then the s-video stops working.

Any way to get it to cointinue outputting a signal after I close the lid of my laptop?

I have set power options to "do nothing" when I close the lid, so I'm totally at a loss.

The goal is to use the laptop to serve up media to my TV until I have enough $$ to buy an htpc. I don't want to keep the lid open and burn out the LCD though.

    Thanks for any help !
