I owned an Inspiron 600M for 5months...but something had happened to it...i donno wat, but the lcd appears crack when I powered it on. But no physical damage i could find from outside of the case....

And I'm still under warranty for another 7months, is that possible to get Dell to fix it? I called them, n they refused to fix it, said the LCD couldn't be crack on its own.

The lcd doesn't show any damage when it's powered off, so I'm wondering if i purposely broke the laptop...like by overheating it, then they won't be able to see it, are they gonna send me a brand new one or just fixing the chip? Any help or thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated!!!

did you take Complete care? If yes it should be covered...

They will only fix what is broken...so if you fry your CPU or MB...they won't replace the LCD...Next time don't mention that your screen is cracked...instead mention dead pixel...
    good luck

I contact tech support and told them that there's a white spot on my LCD screen...don't tell anything that might make them assume that you broke the laptop...

    good luck..

what I mean by white spot is a bunch of pixel dead/not working well because of a pressure point....for those who had I4000 it was just above the buttons for the track point that was pressing again my screen when my laptop was in my backpack...
