I received my Vostro laptop a week ago and was happy to find out I had an LG screen (LPLC500). However, I've noticed that the colors on this screen are noticeably washed compared to my desktop LCD and even my old T30 Thinkpad screen. I've played the same video on all the screens and the colors on the Vostro are just plain dull/inaccurate. I've tried making some adjustments to the brightness, gamma, etc. in the Nvidia Control Panel but can't seem to get it right. Maybe I need more time to adjust to it? Any advice?

    Thanks a lot.

If you're not satisfied with it, get it replaced or return the notebook and get another one.

Try adjusting the Digital Vibrance (if you haven't already) in the Nvidia control panel. I have mine set at 58%

Thank you for giving that advice to the individual instead of
    "bogusing" him.

    Your advice works great!

Increasing Digital Vibrance and decreasing gamma has made a nice improvement though it still seems a little bit off... I'll keep tweaking.
    n19htmare, I have a Vostro 1500 with a WXGA anti-glare screen.

I feel dumb, but I don't see a "digital vibrance" feature in the nvidia control panel.

When you get into the Nvidia control panel it's under Display --> Adjust desktop color settings. It's the second item down under brightness.
