I had been playing tidily winks with my number 7 and 8 keys trying to get them to snap back on. No matter how I pressed and/or held my tounge I could at best only get half the key locked into place only to have it pop off again.
I gave up, and called Dell. In one day I had box with new keyboard in it with a call asking how things went the next day. No charge for the keyboard and I get to keep the old one to torture.
Anyone know how to set up the goofy scissor locks on the keys?
Cheers

Hard to beat dell's parts service sometimes. Glad to hear you got the part that fast!
Scissor lock? You mean the metal 'c' clip under the spacebar and return key? Or is this the retaining mechanism under the keyboard assembly that clips into the laptop chassis? -

The keys "legs" resemble a folding ironing board, that move in a scissor fashion.
If you have one of the said keyboards you'll know what I mean. This is the first keyboard I ever had problems getting the keys to snap back on. There are Dell how to's for older keyboards, I haven't seen anything for this one but still looking.
Dell Keyboard Service :)
