I am in the market for a new laptop. Considered the 9200 till I read about the small fonts in IE due to the high resolution. I am now thinking of the 8600. But today I helped a neighbor with her 1150 Inspirion. I thought it was cheaply made. especailly the keyboard. The letters and numbers look like they are just a decal on top of a blank key. Do all Dell's have the same cheap keyboard?

I agree with your opinion of Dell keyboards feeling cheap compared to others, they are too light to the touch for my liking. And yup, all the Inspiron machines use that style keyboard.
