Did this happen to anybody else ? I just got a text message from dell saying go to dell unleased.com and save $250 off notebooks $999 and over .
This is wrong on so many levels ! I want my freaking 10 cents back .

No, and I think it's 10 cents to send one, not recieve one.
-
You usually pay to receive too
-
it's 10 cents to receive and send one
-
Yup...you do usually pay for both. That way the cell phone providers can charge double for the same service
Anyway, that is just wrong on so many levels... -
Depends on the plan/service. Most providers charge to do both... thank goodness I have unlimited txt (for free).
-
Depends on the carrier.
It probably isn't even from Dell, I get spam text messages from time to time anyways.
Many carriers have it set up so that something along the lines of
"[email protected]"
Will send an e-mail to your phone as an SMS. -
For example, the Sprint plan I have does not charge for incoming text messages. Only outgoing. -
came from 1-888-698-9773 Does dell use global tech ?
said that I could opt out buy sending STOPDELL
Still very weird ! -
probably looking @ .15
-
If that is not from Dell and you sent that 'opt out' you guarantee that spammers would continue to harass you. Just like 'click here' to get rid of this spammer email too...
-
I didn't opt out . I am going to call them in a few and record there call and give them a hard time . If it's a good call I will upload the call.
-
if you dont read you dont pay
-
-
-
-
I can record calls all day at work so I don't see why it would be a problem
-
-
-
I've never heard that you actually have to pay for recieving text messages. Thats so wrong!.. Man you have some crazy stuff over there in the US
-
Nope I sure didn't . This is the first spam I have ever received on my cell phone -
They were contracted out by DELL... I am *****ing them out now
-
I hate phone spam. Good thing I have unlimited texting.
-
anyone else get hit with this crap ?
-
I do not text much, but it would suck to start getting spam texts that cost me money everytime I get them. -
I never get phone spam. You should probably watch who you give your number to.
No charge for incoming texts in Canada, although I'm somewhat surprised given we get robbed in all other aspects of wireless. -
Anyone who pays for incoming txts is a sucker. Shop around your providers, people.
-
In Australia you only pay to send (the way it should be). I don't think any service providers here charge you to receive.
