The only way to get the international warranty transfer is by getting the Next Business day service warranty on the laptop. I believe it is still the oly way to get a warranty transferred according to their policy.

They are very, very proactive on making sure people don't buy in one country then return to another for system economic reasons (cheaper in the former) and still have the option to deny your warranty transfer and claim.

I went through this a few years back with my 700m and learned the hard way.

Unless its changed, its all spelled out in their warranty guidelines..and I have a M1330.

    K...did some background for ya....

This will explain what you can and cannot do. You can ONLY transfer 3 year next business day coverage outside of the USA. If you make the mistake of getting Complete Care, you are nixed and cannot.

Here is the simple wording" Return to Depot, Complete Care, Same Day, and Parts Only contracts are NOT AVAILABLE FOR TRANSFER outside of the region the coverage was purchased in." and it is found here.

All the information you are looking for relating to specific countries and forms is here.

Finally, go to Dell support and read up International Warranty Transfer from those who have experienced the aches and pains. Simply go to Dell.com and then support and search the words 'international warranty transfer'.

It sounds like completecare. And flamenko spelled it out pretty clearly, yours cannot be transferred.

I thought Dell hade international warranty, im going to "import" an Dell from USA to sweden because of the ridiculous pricing on laptops here, and i thought that i could, if not transfer the warranty itself, atleast get it fixed here in sweden. Or?

I was also told by both a phone and chat rep that when purchasing a 3 or 4 year warranty, it automatically provides international warranty coverage in most countries (excepting, North Korea, Iran, etc.).

One important note though, is that the accident coverage is ONLY valid in the 50 US states--even if you drop your laptop when outside the US, you're hosed. Here's a link to the terms and conditions of the consumer CompleteCare Agreement:
