Dell International Warranty Scam

Warranty Information is not cleared about global warranty transfer by Dell. I have contacted the call and chat support team of Dell before purchasing the Dell laptop regarding the international warranty and i was told that every Dell laptop comes with standard warranty and can be transferred any where in the world by going on Ownership Transfer | Dell US. But, now when i bought the laptop from other country and started using in India, i m told that i need to purchase OnSite warranty from India to get the warranty. This is something i didn't except from value based brand.

 

I know when I have transferred warranties, there was a disclaimer that told me the same level of service may not be available.

It depends on the warranty you have Vs what level of support it lines up with in the country you transfer into.

The higher level of warranties (IE complete care Etc) usually have international coverage that states you can get service in any Country you are travelling to.


So I guess the question is what type of warranty did you buy with the laptop ?

Also there are Dell Reps here on the forums, they maybe able to help you with this issue.

 

I didn't buy any particular warranty with my laptop because no one from Dell told me that when asked several times. They told me to purchase the laptop and you will get the 1 year warranty support which includes Technical support and NBD support.
