Was wondering if anyone has the experience of doing a Dell "International Ownership Warranty Transfer" before? It's basically done when you move to another country for some time, and you transfer the US-based warranty to that country.

Now, I know that 3YR NBD On-Site Warranty of Dell laptops are eligible for international support. But that is quite pricey, considering that I am going for budget models with only 1YR Mail-In Warranty.

So my question is, can any Dell laptop have its warranty transferred to another country? Are there any prerequisites to meet? For e.g. Do you need a NBD-level of warranty service? Will a 1YR Mail-In Warranty laptop be eligible for the transfer?

I'd really like to know this too.

In the Netherlands there's no Dell Outlet but there is in the UK. I could have a friend there buy something from the outlet for me and transfer ownership/guarantee etc. too me.....would save a bucketload!!

    so yeah....please give us a guide :D
