Hello folks I have recently encountered a really weird issue. When I got my replacement laptop I did a full reformat and my mouse connected with my laptop... I made a few "boo boos" and formatted 2 more times and this is when the problem began. On the very last reformat, my mouse is no longer detected. I've spent sometime with a Dell rep with him sending me Internal bluetooth replacement and a wireless card (though I couldn't unscrew the wireless card so I only replaced bluetooth) the situation did not improve. I was able to detect the mouse after disabling wireless only to find that even though the mouse has been added it cannot move the cursor on my screen. Does anyone have the same experience or know any solutions to this?

Are you using the same Bluetooth drivers and mouse drivers that worked before?

It's really just vista's default drivers + the most recent version of Dell's bt drivers. I even tried to install setpoint (logitech's software) and.... it didn't do anything at all.

Logitech blames it on Vista's UAC.

Search Logitech's forum for better solutions.

Call Logitech tech support. You may have to email first to get their number.

There is instructions on how to install setpoint "properly" according to them.

They always have to blame something other than their product if their product doesn't work as it's supposed to right?

I did this on a Vostro 1500. I simply uninstalled Logitech's SetPoint Software, and the Laptop was able to find the mouse when I searched for it, and I was able to "click here within 59 seconds" to confirm it was connected.

On my own BT mouse from Dell, I did not install any software; I simply set the mouse to discovery mode, paired it with no passkey as instructed (even though the mouse says to use 0000), and it found it right away.

The range is nowhere near 30 ft with my setup, but it works well within a few feet.

Got the Dell BT mouse from Ebay for around 30 bucks, and works flawlessly with M1330.

It remembers all the saved keystrokes etc via setpoint in games, and after reboots/sleeps.
