I bought a used 2915 ABG on ebay (DELL P/N 0F6749) to replace the original 2200 BG, at first it worked fine, but suddenly the computer rebooted and then the card didn't show up in the bios or in windows.

I replaced the 2200BG, wich worked fine, then I put in the 2915ABG again and it worked. Then I tried the enable/disable wlan switch (FN/F2), and the computer froze, and at reboot the BIOS couldn't find the 2915ABG again.

Sooo, is the I6000 incompatible with the 2915 card, do I have the wrong bios version? Or is it the card there's something wrong with?
    Regards Johan

Uninstall Everything with the card (drivers, software, etc.) And then try reinstalling everything again. Also go into the wireless properties of that card and hit the troubleshoot and configure, etc.

Everything has been uinstalled/reinstalled. This is clearly a hardware or a bios problem, windows has nothing to do with it.

They sell the 2915 with the i6000. so it should work. You've confirmed that you have the latest BIOS version?

Yes, it's the A09 version, the latest.

Weird, I'd try another card then.
