Today Dell has a coupon, it is $600 off XPS M1530.
My question is how often do these random instant savings happen? Should I feel rushed to make a decision today?
Note that it only applies to Home. If you buy the same exact XPS M1530 on the Small Business site, it is $600 more (give or take).
Is there consistency to # of days, when, and what models these instant savings apply to? Thanks!

The $600 coupon has been around since the new year.
-
Ok. Does that imply it will be there tomorrow? Next week? Go away soon but come back in mid-February?
My original questions still apply. Anyone familiar with these instant savings and coupons? -
It's perfectly random and at the whim of Dell.

I take back what I said above. The deal seems to be extended now. Here's the language on Dell's website:

Save $619 on select XPS M1530 notebooks
Expires Monday, February 04, 2008 -
Thanks for the info.
Feb 4th sounds good. Honestly I may have finished my research and come to a decision by tomorrow anyway.
I notice in your signature you pretty much are using the XPS1530 that I have specced out. What do you think, POH? -
A few specific:
- I have every Adobe program loaded (Master Collection CS3) and am very pleased how well Photoshop can handle large (50MB) images.
- I have a draft N network at home and use the 1530 to connect wirelessly at 130MBs+ ! This could be on any machine, I know.
- Screen is brilliant, crisp, & bright.
- Remote control makes giving presentations easy (just gave one a few days ago)
I am not a fan of the touchpad. But I have never really liked any touchpad. -
Hmmm, what problems have others had?
How is its heat - like, do you think it gets hotter than other laptops or is competitive under heavy load?
Lastly, I'm wondering about the keyboard. Are the right-hand arrow keys one row below the other keys, or brought up in line with a short shift key? Is the touchpad centered on the computer, or centered to the spacebar? -
As for the keyboard, look here:

Arrow keys are in bottom right.
You should look around this site regarding problems. The screen seem to have been the biggest problem (non LG screens seem to be bad). I think Dell has remedied this now... -
POH -
out of curiosity (I just read the 1530 grainy screen thread), were you lucky and got the LG part# LPLDF00 with your original order, or did you have to request a replacement for the samsung screen? -
Does this mean that the deal will still be available on Monday, Feb 4 -- or will the last day to purchase with the deal be Sunday?
Thanks! -
Someone knows the answer...

Thank you!

Hope I have the same luck with the LG! -
So far so good. -
Do they have a coupon like this still around anywhere? I'd love to pick up an m1330, but the cost puts me off when I want to go to T9300...
-
They have a $499 off.. it's not that bad because they don't make you buy as much RAM at Dell prices...
-
Where can I find this coupon? All I see are deals for the Inspiron series...
