    Hello,
I have a serious problem with my new laptop.
I bought a Dell Inspiron Core i5-450M 2.4GHz 15.6" LED 4GB 640GB Webcam Notebook (Refurbished) and I cannot run more than a program without this laptop's fan turning on and disturbing me.

I cannot make any Skype calls due to the fan disturbing my audio causing the other end of the call to struggle hearing me.

I'm using laptop fan underneath my laptop to help cool it down, but that isn't enough. This fan is so extremely loud almost all the time, it is only quiet when I do not have any programs opened.

Any ideas or suggestions to help me solve this problem?

    EDIT:
Even watching a YouTube video causes the fan to run too its limit.

I'm assuming you have the Inspiron 15R (N5010)?

You should try getting canned air and blowing out all the dust in the fan/heatsink. You may have debris clogging up the fan causing it to work overtime.

If you don't want to get down under the palm rest, likely you will have to RMA it to Dell.
