Hi, I'll be buying a laptop later this year (probably towards June/July), looking at the E1505 at the moment, hopefully they'll have a dedicated GFX option by then...
Does anyone have or know where I could find any real life photos of the
E1505 ? or any other Inspiron laptop, assuming they all look the same...

    Thanks

What country to you live in? The e1505 is the 6000 with updated inners. You should be able to see one in person at a Dell Kiosk (Dell Direct Store) at your local mall. It probably won't be long before the e1505 replaces the 6000 on display anyways. If you want pictures. You might try reading the review for the 6000. You should be able to find it by clicking on '6000' again, the chassesi of the e1505 and the 6000 are identical. You could also take a look at the 3D tour thing on Dell's webbie.

I live in Israel, Dell don't have an official representation here, and comptuer stores don't usually have theier stock on display... I'll find a way to see one in real life by the time I buy it (if I do go for the E1505), I was just looking for something in the meanwhile...
    Thanks for the "directions".

Heh, funny seeing the keyboard without the numbers pad on the right side (is there a name for that?), looks a bit small, I guess that's the American standard...

    Yair,

My E1505 should arrive in 7-10 days. Let me know what photos you need and I'll post some.

I suppose you know that like the Pentium M before it, Yonah was designed in Israel.

    First of all thanks.
Basically I wanted to get the general feel of the desigen (did that make sense?), I've already seen some great pictures in the Inspiron 6000 review links that were given.
As for the Intel processors, I know about Yonah and Dothan both being designed in Intel Israel, both Hebrew names... hopefully Yonah will make his way back home later this year :)

Yea I've just seen that name in another thread in the forum, and someone has "waiting for "Gesher" " in his signature, which is Hebrew for bridge, not sure if that has anything to do with the subject...

hi, everyone! In Vietnam, I never seen E1505. Do you think display of E1505 better than Inspiron 6000 ?

Someone may have speculated on that name possibly. Only know merom so far, 64 bit dual cores with 2-4MB L2's alongwith conroe it's desktop counterpart. Should be an interesting year :)

I would expect the E1505 and 6000 displays to be identical, no better - no worse!!!

When I ordered mine I had three choices:
    1. WXGA 1280x800 Matte
    2. WXGA 1280x800 Gloss [TrueLife]
    3. WXGA+ 1680x1200 Gloss [TrueLife]

I went for 2, just to see if I would like gloss.

    Yair,

I'm curious. If you buy a Dell, will you have to import it from the USA or Europe? Are their tarriffs/taxes?

Well, I suppose if I have them send it over here (which I'm not sure they would) I would have to pay taxes, they have a part in their site when you checkout when buying something, that asks if you are going to import it overseas.
But I'm having it sent to a friend in the US, which will bring it with him when he comes over...

Glad to see Inspiron e1505 with glossy screen since 6000 didnt have it.
I like everything about i6000 but the screen is kinda subpar.
