    Dell Inspiron e1505 to Sony Wega KDF-E55A20 HDTV

    I have searched and searched and cannot find my answers. I am not even sure if this is the right place to post this over asked question.

    I need to connect my Dell Inspiron e1505 laptop to my Sony WEGA KDF-E55A20 HDTV. I have tried a this DVI-A Female to HDD15 (VGA) Male Adapter: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2844466 this 6- Ft. HDMI-DVI Cable: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2923124 and all I get is a black screen. I am not sure if the guys at my local Radio Shack are the problem or if I am the problem.
