I currently have a T2050 CPU for my Dell Inspiron 6400.

For all the other owners of the Dell 6400/e1505, which processor do you have? I'm looking to upgrade my processor soon, but I want to make sure which is compatible. I'm looking for a 2.00 GHz or a 2.16 GHz upgrade. Which socket should I look for and which model is it?

    Thanks!

Socket M, that's the only option.

So a T7200 or T7400 would be alright. Too bad the ol' Merom CPU's are kind of expensive due to newer and newer mobile processors. :(
