Can anyone help please.Up to yesterday when the Battery was installed with The Mains Charger Switched on The Laptop could be switched on and the Battery Light showed the battery to be charging "solid Green light"..Now the Laptop will not Power up with the Battery installed..No Power at all Neon Light is Blue on Charger Plug.Immediately I remove the Battery and go onto Mains when I press the OFF/On Switch I get power and The Laptop Boots.I have tried removing ..Battery and Mains and depressing Switch for 20 seconds to discharge electric Current but this has no effect. Is this a Battery fault or something more sinister with the Motherboard..Michael

It sounds like it's probably "something more sinister" with the motherboard. What happens if you power up the laptop without the battery and install it after it starts?
