    Dell Inspiron N5010 Integrated Webcam Problem

    Dear Friends,

    I have bought Dell Inspiron N5010 Core i3. Windows 7 is installed but i am facing a problem my integrated webcam is not working. i have searched lots of forums but couldnt find the answer.
    I have installed Dell Webcam central but its also not working neither it is showing in device manager. Please guide me so that i can use my integrated webcam.

    Well if your webcam doesn't show up...it's probably defective? Call up Dell for warranty repair..

    No its not a hardware problem. My brother had this laptop and he never used its webcam since purchase. now i need to use it. but its not showing. am sure its not a hardware probem

    ...If device management doesn't see the device than it is a hardware issue...if it shows up and driver installed and Dell Webcam Central doesn't see it then you have a software issue. Unless you want to reseat the cable yourself (not terribly difficult on new Inspirons, remove bezel, LCD and check LVDS/webcam cable), your best bet is to call up Dell.
