I've been searching the forums to find the answer to the following question:

What resolutions are supported by the external VGA connector on the Dell Inspiron Mini 12 / HDMI connector on Mini 10?

I have a Mini 12 here, connected to a Benq FP202W screen (1680x1050 20") by VGA cable. I am using XP SP3 with the latest display drivers from Dell's site (V6.14.10.1095).

The problem is that only 3 resolutions are shown for the monitor, 640x480, 800x600 and 1024x768, no widescreen resolutions at all!
This is the same whether I run in clone, extended or single display modes.
I've tried installing the .inf files for the monitor from Benq's site but that made no difference.

Can someone with Ubuntu or Vista drivers let me know if they have more resolutions (esp. widescreen) for external displays?

P.S. I originally posted a question about this on the Official Inspiron Mini 12 thread, but as it applies to the Mini 10 as well I though I'd put it here instead.
