Hi, Does anyone know of a way to hook up the Media Buttons on the front edge of the keyboard up to another Media Player such as Winamp/VLC Media Player rather than Windows Media Player?

    Thanks

    Luke

I can't say I know, neither do I think you can, owning an E1705 for some time now, I have tried using the MediaDirect keys for as many media players and centers, and I cannot say the media keys worked for all, except volume control and mute.

does that winamp plugin give it control in programs other than winamp? or only in winamp? i'm a huge VLC user and would really like this feature. I wanted a remote, but they also do not work in VLC.

    Ex-cel-lent!!!

Works with the M1330 too - not only with the Media buttons, but also with the remote :D

The only thing missing is the fast-fwd keys, but the same holds true for windows Media Player, so it's no fault of the plugin. What I found as a good substitute is that the "presentation" left & right keys can be used to make Media Player and Winamp skip forwards or backwards a number of secs.

Thank you very much and have a rep on me
