Hey everyone, I am new to the forums and needed some help. I have a Dell Inspiron E1705 and was trying to read or write to a Verbatim DVD+RL disk. When I put it in the drive it shows up as a CD with no data on it(0 bytes). I was reading on specs and forums and this device is supposedly able to read dual layer media. In the device manager the drive is listed as HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GSA-T11N. These discs are brand new I just recieved them, and they work in my sisters HP. Is there some type of firmware upgrade I would need to do or something, and if so how do I check my current firmware. Thanks a lot.
