Hey guys the hinge on my E1505 is pretty loose. Any ideas on how to fix it?

I am aware of removing the rungs on the corners and taking off the screen cover and tightening the hinge screws from there. Is this method safe? I don't want to put my laptop at risk.

    Thanks guys!

Hi, i also had the same problem, just tighten 2 hinge screws and put back covers and it should be fine.

My screen is pretty loose too. But, I've learning to live with it for now until I get the time to fix it.

I plan on getting on eBay or something and buying an entire screen-housing to do a full replacement with.

Yup if your careful it's very safe, just make sure you have the Dell service manual with you. I've tightened hinge screws on a couple of Dell laptops and it fixes the problems. Of note go to radio Shack and buy some Loctite. Put a drop or two on each screw that way the screws won't back out later on. That way you won't have to deal with it again. ;)
