    Hi i'm trying to fix a display problem in a inspiron B130 was watching a video when the screen developed afew line then went black. The lappy starts and loads win xp home if you hold a bright light to the screen you can see all the icons on the screen. Pluged in a external monitor and the picture is crystal clear. thanks for any help or advice you can give :confused:

    Went black as in the entire screen or is it extremely dim? Entirely black is most likely a bad backlight which it would be easier to replace the LCD panel. Dim would usually indicate a bad inverter, worse case is bad motherboard/LCD panel.
