I have been having problems with my insirpon 8600 screen for like 2-3 weeks now. I cant really explain it, but like the whole screen sometimes has green lines, like as i am typing the screnn has little horizantil blue lines all over it. Sometimes like if I get it in that right postion, the screen will show as normal. Can I fix this or does it have to be fixed by dell ? How much would that cost ?

If you still have warranty, contact Dell. They should be able to fix this under warranty. It sounds like the wiring for your LCD is damaged or failing. If you don't have warranty, you can buy a new LCD from Dell Spare Parts. It will probably cost anywhere from $300-500. You might also check out ebay or screentekinc.com . They specialize in LCD repair, but I don't know if they can fix this or not.
