    thankyou, I have read your review and viewed your images on this Dell inspiron 8600, however would you be able to post an image of the under base and are you able to comment on the part number for the base, as I am on the lookout to replace a cracked base for my inspiron 8600. much appreciated. :eek:

    You surely can buy it from Dell. Call Dell Spare Parts. I recently had to buy one for my Inspiron 8600 system. They asked for my service tag and express service code and even printed the correct stickers (with service tag and service code) for the bottom. By the way, the part number listed on my packing slip is: C5532.
