    Dell Inspiron 8600 no sound

    I have a couple of 8600 laptops. When the sound quit I tried some self trouble shooting through the help section, it said no sound card found? I switched hard drives in the two computers and it still did not have sound but the sound still worked in the other computer, so I think the problem would be something other than the hard drive and the drivers are in the hard drive I think? Any one have any ideas?
