    Dell Inspiron 8600 Hard Drive??

    A friend of mine has a Dell Inspiron 8600. His hard drive has gone bad and is looking for a new one. I pulled the old one out and it is a Toshiba HDD2181. I am pretty sure I have picked out a good replacement drive but just wanted to make sure it will work. This is the drive I have found.

    Can anyone give me a for sure it will work or recommend one that will. His only real requirement is cheap and 30gigs or better. I really don't want to recommend him something that will not work.

    well there is not way of knowing for sure unless you know for sure? That make sense? Whynot call dell and ask? Personally id wanna see it to make sure its the same size and fit.
