My motherboard in my Inspiron 8600 recently died. In searching for a new one, somebody told me that it used the same motherboard as the 8500. I noticed that on ebay the 8500 motherboards seem to be going for a little bit less than those for the 8600, so it would be nice if this were true, but I wanted to verify before bidding. Can somebody tell me whether or not it is true that the 8500 and 9600 use the same motherboard? My warranty has run out with Dell, so I'm on my own for this repair.
