I've started to notice these weird readings ever since, I've installed my new Samsung 250GB EVO SSD. I've ran basic tests with Dell built in software to see any issues, but none was present. I haven't tried replacing the hard drive as, I would prefer to find the solution than replacing it. My laptop not that old to be honest just a couple months of use and all I do mostly is browse the web. I try to maintain my laptops power usage as, I like to conserve power. I always use Dell power plan, never do I use power saver only when the time needed.

In the past when, I first discovered this issue. The Dell Tech guy suggested to me to update my BIOS, which I did and worked perfectly. But seeing as I cant do that, i'm pretty much out of ideas. Could this be a issue with the SSD consuming a lot of power or some error with the SSD?

    EDIT

From what the basic reading meter gives me can become unreliable at times, as it likes to jump from 5 to 7 hours depending on the percentage.

Below is a snapshot of my battery readings:

I think it's normal. That was probably because of the ULV processor adapting itself to the programs you were running. The 'estimated' battery life hence could be incorrect.

My meter behaves that way as well, but the battery usually lasts for at least 6 hours.

Could be, but when i'm not running any tasks the battery meter goes funny. But seeing as i'm not only one then, I suppose it feels alirght.
