I heard things like i cant use any wifi card with this laptop, something is locked in BIOS.
I want to replace this intel dual band 7260N card.
Which one i can install in it (Non-intel)? If non-intel cards are blacklist in bios, then how is intel wifi 7260AC's performance, is it has good range?
My preference: AC, dual band, bluetooth 4 of course.

I have the 7260AC and it's the strongest wireless card I have ever owned. I would get that one if it will work with your system.

Hi deadsmiley,
Thanks for the reply.
Well Intel's card will work in my system; I'm just worried about 7260AC's performance and range.
Currently, I'm using a N router; but in future I'll get a AC router.
So, as of now I'm concerned about performance and range of Intel 7260AC with N type signal.
I'm from India, so looked around Amazon.com and Newegg.com for intel 7260AC card; it's available but not for shipping in India. -
No problem T.Das777
Yes, the Intel 7260AC will work in your Inspiron 7537.
I use my 7260AC exclusively on an N router. It provides a strong signal in places of my house where others do not. I really am not sure where to source this in India as I am in the USA. Good luck my friend. -
Ok. Is your 7260AC card installed in inspiron 7537 or any other laptop with metal/aluminium lid?
Well many have said that since the Inspiron 7537 has a aluminium lid/lcd back, the wifi reception/range gets affected.
So I'm a bit confused to proceed for 7260AC card... -
I have a Sager which has a plastic bezel over the LCD frame. My son has the XPS 15 and has very poor wireless performance. I cannot say hour it would work with your system.

I doubted that metal lid/cover to be the culprit.
I couldn't understand "I cannot say hour it would work with your system." -
I cannot say how it will work in your system.
