After 6-7 years of faultless use, the screen on my Dell has started flickering and then losing the light. I have fitted a new inverter and it is more stable, but it still flickers when waking up.

It's got a Samsung matte finish panel and the part number is LTN154X3-L09. I have found plenty of replacements, but have also seen the same part number with different L designations after it, such as L03, L06, etc.

Does anybody know what the L number represents?

Don't worry about the part number, and just make sure you get a screen that came from another E1505. Screens from the 1501/(vostro)1500/1520/1521/1525 should also work. Screens from the D820/D830/M65/M4300 will also work, but they will be matte.

Thank you, but I would still like to know what the significance of the different L numbers is.
