    Hello all!

A new optional BIOS update went up on Dell's web site yesterday for 6400s, MM061A11.EXE. The only enhancement listed is "1. Thermal control enhancement."

Since having problems with an earlier BIOS and going back to my shipped one, A03, I haven't changed it, but recently I've noticed my laptop is running hotter than usual.

Has anybody upgraded to A11 and if so how's it performing?

I installed it with a DOS bootable disk...no problems at all. Haven't really noticed anything dramatic...but I do know that with A09...supposedly there were some Vista issues that were resolved

I've looked back through previous versions and can't see an A10 on Dell's web site or FTP site.

Dell often skips BIOS versions. Sometimes they are internal versions that never see the light of day. I've seen it happen numerous times over the years of jumping one revision (or two) when released.

I'm very tempted to finally change from A03.

I installed A11 today and it seems to be running a bit cooler than how it has been performing recently with the shipped A03, despite this being on the notebook since May.
