Ive had this problem for a long time now, and my warranty has already gone out. But, My battery in my laptop is not reconized it says (no battery installed) but if I unplug the cord the battery still runs for about 2 hours, so I know it still works. How can I install the battery so Windows Xp can reconize it?

Check if it's recognized in the BIOS... if it's not you will have to deal with it or buy a new battery
