The volume on my wife's Dell Inspiron 6000 internal speakers was hard to hear even when we cranked it all the way up, so I hooked up external speakers. Bought HP Multimedia Speakers, supports USB 1.1 and 2.0 systems. A basic plug and play system. Plugged in USB and speaker jack but no external sound. Internal speakers still work. No software to install so should work. Clicked speaker on tool bar and all volume levels are balanced(in the middle). No screen saver running. When I plug in the USB and the jack, I get a click on the speakers, so thinking there is sound going to them. Your thoughts or do you need more information?
