Does the 6000 and 9300 have an extra PCI Express slot or is that already used up for the gpu? I was reading a review for the 6000 that said it had one, but in that test the 6000 was using intel's integrated gpu. While for the 9300 I read it had 2 slots, but just regular ones. Thanks for the help

the pci express slots are inside.. I believe both have internal 1.... just because I see no reason to have 2 slots since you aren't going to have two video cards on a laptop working in sli/dual

The intergrated 6000 don't have a pci express slot I don't think... The intel card is soldered to the motherboard I believe.

pci express is jsut there for upgrading... say dell decides to make a pci express card with ati x800 or something... if it is made to fit in the same size case as the i6000 or equivalent latitude.... then you could buy the spare part and install it yourself..

also note there is a pcmcia internal slot that most built in wireless card use

cause when I disable pcmcia slots in my device manager and my built in intel wireless card stops working...
