    I lost the restore CD to my inspiron 6000. Any place I can download one?

    Is there any way I can reinstall XP w/ OUT having to purchase another license :(

    You will have to order a new one from Dell. They should probably still have some on hand. If you legitimately remove (erase) Windows XP from the machine that it is currently on and install it on your Dell, you will just have to make a painless call to Microsoft for a special key to activate it if the internet activation doesn't work. Same can apply if your hard drive goes south and after you install the same copy of XP on a new hard drive on the same system and it doesn't activate. I would just try to order the restore discs, since they also have all the drivers too.
