Hey guys, i am new the comunity and I am looking for some assistance. I have a Dell Inpsiron 6000 that was working fine until I, decided that i would fix my broken power port. Keep in mind that it worked fine before, you would just need to tug the power cable in a special direction so it would get a charge.
So i desoldered the Power port and am not waiting on a replacement from Ebay. Before i unsoldered it, i had put it back together for some odd reason, just to see if it still worked. The laptop would not turn on, The green light under power would turn on for about 3 seconds, than shut off. The processor fan was not moving. I tried removing the memory and what not. Its a 5 year old laptop, and I am trying to make the best of it. This is my first time with this issue. I have tried to boot without the hd, optical and w-lan cards in, and yet it still does not boot. I am going to wait until the power jack comes in, and put it back togeather, and see if it works than.
But does anyone know what i can try? The laptop worked fine before i opened it up.
If worst comes worst i will sell the laptop in parts.
Thanks!!!!
