I want to keep my Dell Inspiron 6000 as a backup / spare notebook but I want to upgrade the 802.11 b/g Wifi WLAN card. Are there any upgrade options for a Dell Inspiron 6000 to a 5GHz 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi WLAN card so that I can connect to my 5GHz 802.11 a/b/g/n Home Network?

    Thanks in advance...

In theory there's a considerable number of options, though they're all made by fairly small ODMs... Dell doesn't whitelist WIFI cards, so any 802.11n mini PCI wifi card should work. Use your Google-fu; I'm not sure if there are any particularly good or bad ones.

Thanks, I think I found one on eBay.

    Broadcom BCM43222 4322 mini-PCI 802.11a/b/g/n Wireless Wifi Card 300Mbps

Anybody know where I can find Windows XP drivers for this card? I've done a little searching but can only find them via Softpedia and I don't trust that site (problems in the past with malware).

    Thanks in advance...
