Does anyone know whether the DELL INSPIRON 5150 supports Hyperthreading? If yes, how do I enable it? I checked the BIOs and couldn't find anywhere I could do that.
    Thanks.

I got a 5150 back in late May and mine does indeed have HT technology. I have the 3.06ghz chip in it. What speed is yours. I maybe completely wrong but, I don't think some of the slower chips had HT. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Mine is the same as yours i.e. 3.06GHz. Did you do anything special to enable the HT? Thanks.

When the 5150 first came out, the original 3.06 ghz did not support HT, it wasn't until a few months later that HT was added.

Sorry to divert off the topic Ka55ad, but how has your 5150 held up since May?

I just got mine today and it seems ok, but of course I do realize that overheating is a longterm issue. I'm trying this out for a couple days until I decide to keep it or get a refund.
