I have a Dell 3147 currently running the A12 BIOS. The computer won't wake from sleep mode in Windows 10 Home. I tried researching this issue but nothing seems to work. I looked for power settings under keyboard in device manager but it is missing on my machine. It's also missing in the mouse options.
I ran the follow command in an elevated command prompt: powercfg -devicequery wake_from_any. Doesn't show the keyboard or mouse as being able to wake the machine. The touchscreen is listed but it won't wake the machine. I enabled all HID devices to wake the computer but nothing works. The power button does nothing.
I'm currently dual booted with a linux distro. Suspend does not work in linux either. Based on my research, I feel it must be an issue with the newest BIOS....... I can't imagine Dell made a laptop that is not able to resume from sleep mode. Can anyone confirm the root of this issue?
I read in thread on another website that reverting to the A7 BIOS might work. Anyone know if the A7 BIOS will work with a SSD?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

3147 is an 11 inch inspiron version correct? I have the 3168 and I do not have this issue. I will do some looking around too later and see if I can find any information on it.

I spent hours and hours trying to get it to sleep with no luck.
Do you happen to know which BIOS your 3168 is running? -
Not off hand. I will look after. I cannot find any information regarding your issues. I will keep looking around and see if I can come up with something. My 13" did this for about a month, but now it's fine again!
