I have a Dell Inspiron 17r se that's not posting. At first it would give 4 beeps with fan on high and turn on and off (signaling something wrong with memory). So I took out one of the sticks of RAM and it stopped. However it still would not post and the fan would be on high. I even tried using two completely different RAM sticks and it didn't work. Could this be a motherboard problem, GPU? Have been considering trying a reflow via the oven.....

I've tried reconnecting everything as well.

Did you try one of the sticks in both Slots? Maybe one is faulty, the other one might be still okay.

Otherwise take out the battery, make a full power drain by pressing the Powerbutton for a Minute and remove the CMOS (penny sized battery on the mobo) for a minute too, to set the Bios back to Default.

If this doesn't help then most likely the mobo is dead. Let me know how it went.
