Hi guys,
I'm doing a bit of shopping for friends... they're on a tight budget and have basic needs, so I thought the Inspiron 17 would be a good choice. I was looking at the core i3 model listed at 799$ here.
In all the images we can clearly see an HDMI port on the left side of the laptop, but it is not listed in the Tech Specs section. I asked a sales rep through chat but he couldnt provide me with convincing evidence that this laptop did/did not have an HDMI port.
Can any new Inspiron owner help me out here?
Thanks.

The 1764 does indeed come with a HDMI port.

regardless of the graphics chip? (Intel GMA or ATI)
just to be clear, Inspiron 1764 = newer version with core i3 or i5, Inspiron 1750 = older version with core 2 duo, correct? -
oh by the way i saw an interesting studio 1745 in the dell outlet store would you recommend buying refurbished or advise against it?

This 1764 Staples system with Intel graphics has it: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2358601,00.asp
I've tried building one on Dell.com but your correct, they don't make it clear whether it comes standard...which is stupid. I'm pretty sure it would though. -
thanks boobooo12,
i just had a chat with a different Dell employee and he confirmed (after trying to push me towards buying the more expensive Studio) that the new inspiron 17 came with HDMI output, regardless of Intel vs. ATI graphics. here is the chat record:
