    Hello Guys!

    I'm a very happy Inspiron 1720 owner, still using it as a daily driver, definitely the best laptops I ever had!

    I came accross this youtube video which shows how to UnCap the SATA I speed limitation (FORCED BY DELL) and enable SATA II using BAR-Edit, (how-to information in description).



    I wondered if anyone here is capable and willing to patch the bios to make it pemenant,

    As I undersatand from the Lenovo X61 thread, not much needs to be done as only 2 bytes needs to be change in BIOS but I really have no clue on how to do that :)
