    Hi there.
I recently had to get a new hard drive installed in my Inspiron 1545 laptop. Therefore, I reinstalled Windows Vista 32bit, as well as all the drivers the Dell website told me I needed. However, since the reinstall, I have been having issues with downloading programmes from the web- although my connection settings all seem OK. I can usually save .exe files to my computer, but when I attempt to install them, it tends to tell me they are corrupted in some way. I have tried this with a variety of different programmes, and while the error message is not always the same, I can not install.
    Please help!

Not as far as I am aware- I have no antivirus programme (as I haven't been able to download one!).
I have also tried disabling Windows Firewall, Windows Defender and so on- I've also tried setting Internet Explorer security settings to as low as they can be...

Are you using a wired or a wireless network connection?
In case of a wired network, I'd try if another network cable does help. For wireless networks, changing the transmission channel (this is done in the configuration of your router) might be an option.

Also, please test your RAM. Dell Diagnostics is a good start for this.
