    Dell Inspiron 1545 Cracking Popping Speakers and Skipping Video

    Any idea what could be causing this? I've updated the sound drivers and Dell has replaced the motherboard to no avail. They've offered to let me send it back and have it worked on for free, but I'd like to not be without it for a week.

    Windows 7 is my OS

    Is this to be expected?

    It takes 1:45 from the press of the power button until the desktop appears. If I click an icon (Firefox for example), it's a full four minutes from that time until the browser opens.

    I've been through the startup programs and removed everything I could think of.
