I have this recently acquired Dell 1526 dell of which I replaced the CMOS battery and brought it back to life but when I go to format with my Windows7x64Ult Sp1 and then proceed to install the AMD video driver and then do a WEI but I don't get the aero features? Has this been a problem? I have Dell Inspiron 1525 with Intel HD and those will give me Aero features but not the AMD based Inspiron 1526. So has anyone figure out why it does this?

    update:

So I am guess there isn't anyone that has tried this or done this process with windows7 on this dell 1526 version laptop that has AMD GPU?

Reporting back I finally did a BIOS update and it detected the proper video card and was able to install W7x64 and do a WEI and get Aero feature and now installing W7x86 since I am going to sell it to a someone I know and that it works. But look like it took a BIOS update to get the newer feature from A12 to A16.....
