    My apologies but I can't seem to find a straight answer on this (tried search).

    The Inspiron 1525 offers three battery sizes; 4, 6, and 9-cell batteries.

    My question is, which one of these batteries protrude from the laptop?

    Yes the 9-cell. My aunt has the 1520 with the 9 sticking out... It is very ugly in my opinion and a major eyesore. But thats just my opinion.
