    It's DDR3. That seller has a typo in the description. You can only use DDR2 in the 1525.

    Hi,

    As Commander Wolf mentioned it could be a typo. You can use only DDR2 SODIMMs on Inspiron 1525. It has two SODIMM connectors; the Maximum memory capacity is 4 GB. You can either get one 4 GB module and install it in one of the slots or two 2 GB modules and install it both the slots to make it 4GB Maximum. You can use modules of 512 MB, 1 GB, 2 GB, 4GB capacity.
