    My dell Inspiron laptop has stopped working since morning. 2 days back my son has spilled few drops of juice on that. Immediately I have wiped the juice on the keyboard and turned it off and allowed it to dry for more than a day. Today when I tried to switch it on, it's not turning on. I tried connecting to the power supply, it's not charging also. What might be the problem?

    I would try;

    - Using a known good Dell 65W/90W AC adapter
    - Reseatting the battery
    - Removing the battery and AC adapter, holding down the power button for 30 seconds 2-3 times.

    1525 has that metal along the palmrest, unless you spilled a whole bunch of juice, normally your keyboard should bear the brunt of the damage. Perhaps you are having motherboard problems unrelated to the juice spill?

    Look under the keyboard and see if any of the juice got on the motherboard?

    Hi ynmvidya,

    As mentioned by, Tsunade_Hime and Commander Wolf, this seems like few drops of juice might have gone inside the system and would have shorted the motherboard. Did you try to turn on the system immediately after wiping the juice? Also do let us know the status of the AC adapter light when it is connected to the Laptop and when it is not connected to the Laptop.

    Please do write back in case you need any further assistance.

    Thanks & Regards
    Swapnajan MC
