    Hi

Happy Xmas first of all. I have had a Dell Inspiron 1525 for about 1 yearr now, recently it takes ages to load up (timer continues to swirl around for ages) and the IE browser is very slow. I checked the Task Manager and notice that the CPU readings seem to jump through the roof each time I open an application or programme. If just IE is open it still runs very high. This all seemed to start when AVG was running scans (which I have since disabled). I also removed the ttb broadband measure metre as this seem to put the CPU through the roof. I have Windows Vista on the machine.

Any ideas of a fix or advice on what to uninstall or install?

    Regards

    Paul
